Just as an update – I kept running the ad for another week (3 weeks total). And I reached my goal of 200 email subscribers!!
I had originally set this goal for the end of June so I’m thrilled that I hit it in 3 weeks (rather than the 2+ months).
And to think that I actually thought it was an audacious goal when I set it!
Just goes to show what happens when you figure out how to get the stars aligned:
– right offer
– right audience targeting
– engaging ad copy
– right timeAnd boy does it feel good when it comes more easily! Keep trying to crack that code everyone! 🙂

You’re so inspiring Eve! You don’t just learn, you DO! You’re smashing it! Well done on getting into batching! I think you’ll find that it will be a game changer! 3 blog posts done, that buys you so much time!
Also, just to let you know…we all feel low and unmotivated at times. That’s why community with people who understand what you’re trying to do is so important. We can spur each other on!
Have a great week x

Hi @eve-buckner. Glad to hear you’re really getting into the swing of blogging and Mailchimp. 🙂
I think with Shutterstock you will need to buy credits. I think the minimum is around $50 for 5 images. But take a look. Check the terms of use for each image, you may need to add an image credit at the bottom of your blog post, but that’s ok and is a common practise.
Have you also tried dragging the image into a Tin Eye search to see if it comes up with any free sites? https://www.tineye.com/ Probably is only available on paid stock image sites, but you never know. I use Tin Eye to find the source of images so I can properly credit.
Anyway, hope that helps a little. I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

You can choose how you receive notifications in your profile settings Sue. Go to the top right hand corner where it says:
“G’day, Sue” > choose settings > email.
Enjoy your visitors 🙂
…Also, just testing out using Eve’s tag (@eve-buckner) to see if that helps her get notified that you wrote a comment to her. 🙂

Eve! You are in for a world of happiness! I’m sure Nadine will get into this with you in a strategy sesh, but here’s a brief overview.
An autoresponder is a set/sequence of emails that get automatically sent to your new subscribers. They start by being triggered by a certain action. So you do the work first time, then all your subscribers to take action on your trigger (which might be as simple as signing up) will start to receive that sequence of emails.
A funnel, or sales funnel is a specific sequence of emails you send with the aim at guiding your new lead (or new subscriber) from being a newbie, towards becoming a customer and buying your product. It usually starts with a Lead Magnet (or some valuable freebie) that gets people so sign up to your list and start the funnel.
It’s all pretty exciting, but it’s the process of building a relationship though email (MailChimp) to get your subscribers to become fans and customers.
Hope that helps with some of that lingo. 😉
